There was another effect that was also noticed, and that we found very important. Namely, around 5p.m., mine was still warmer than surroundings and the contrast was positive, as can be seen on this pair of images:
That was just before the rain started to fall. That was typical spring rain, that lasted for less then 15 minutes (like a shower). Thanks to that, mine cooled faster than the soil, and the inversion of the contrast happened, i.e. it became negative! But, that's not all. Thanks to the effect of "day-shower", the long-buried mine (that wasn't seen until that moment) also showed up on our images (blue arrows point on it, while red arrows point, as before, on recently buried mine):
