HUDEM IR trials at Meerdael mixture-field, April 3-4,

There were several problems that we had to face with when
we moved to the field where the soil was a mixture of sand, gravel and local
soil. First of all, the weather was not really helpful (rainy, cold, cloudy and windy all
the time), then, although the markers that were supposed to help in finding the old
buried mine location still existed, we could not know precisely where it was,
so it was too risky to dig the soil in order to place another mine (because we
could have disturbed the long buried one and its thermal condition). That's why
we decided to try to record just the "old" buried one.
This mine was almost all the time "invisible", as on these two images, for
example:
